From Lab to Real Life: What Muscle Charge showed under real-world conditions

From Lab to Real Life: Was Muscle Charge unter realer Belastung zeigte

Muscle health often only becomes a topic when things no longer function as a matter of course: recovery takes longer, strength is lost, or an injury sets the body back. This is exactly where it is decided how quickly we become resilient again and how well we maintain our mobility and physical independence over time.

To make regeneration visible under demanding conditions, 16 athletes integrated Muscle Charge into an intensive training phase over four weeks. The daily training routine served as a stress model for a question that goes far beyond sports: What signals does Muscle Charge show when muscles are under heavy strain and need to be resilient again?

Blood values, performance tests, and daily feedback provided a consistent, consciously directional picture: for 15 out of 16 participants, muscle recovery was lower at the second measurement, 71 percent reported positive perceived effects, and all three physical performance parameters examined improved in the group average.

Why real-world strain is the decisive test for us

Muscle health supports strength, mobility, and independence. It becomes particularly important when recovery takes longer or strength and muscle mass are no longer maintained as a matter of course. Muscle Charge is our focused solution within Advanced Cellular Nutrition for supporting strained muscles.

Together with Unihockey Basel Regio and Merian Santé, we combined blood measurements, physical tests, and daily feedback. The recurring high muscle strain made changes in regeneration, strength, and physical capacity particularly easy to observe.

16 athletes. Four weeks. Real-world strain.

The 16 participants, 10 men and 6 women aged 17 to 39, continued their regular training and integrated Muscle Charge into their existing routine.

More than 94 percent of the daily questionnaires were answered. This created a close-knit picture of perceived regeneration and usage experience.

The clearest measurable signal: lower CK values

Creatine kinase, or CK for short, can rise in the blood after muscular strain and is often used to assess subsequent recovery.

At the second measurement, the CK values were lower in 15 out of 16 participants. On average, this corresponded to a reduction of around 30 percent. The high consistency across the group is the strongest measurable signal from this test phase.

Figure 2: Individual CK values at the first and second measurement

The development matches the intended role of Muscle Charge: to specifically support the regeneration of strained muscles during phases of high strain.

What enables good regeneration in everyday life

71 percent of the participants reported positive perceived effects. Faster regeneration, less tired legs, and better readiness for the next session of strain were mentioned most frequently. Behind this is a benefit that goes far beyond athletic performance: feeling stable, resilient, and secure again after physical exertion.

    Selected statements from participant feedback:

    "I felt much better"

"I feel better regenerated and did not have such severe muscle soreness"

"The day after physical training, my legs felt less tired."

    "Regeneration felt faster"

We look at user feedback and measurement data together. This creates a more transparent overall picture than individual statements or values alone.

    Re-accessing strength and physical capacity

In the group average, all three physical parameters examined improved: strength, explosivity, and functional strength. The most significant development was seen in grip strength. In each parameter, 9 out of 16 participants improved. The evaluation thus adds a decisive dimension to the overall picture: regeneration should make strength and physical capacity available again after strain.

Figure 3: The three central signals from the project evaluation

Three signals. One relevance beyond sports.

Lower CK values. Positive feedback on regeneration. Improved physical parameters. Together, they form a consistent overall picture for Muscle Charge under high muscle strain.

The athlete test is the proof room, not the limit of the target group.

The results encourage us to further develop Muscle Charge as a focused NooQTM solution for regeneration and muscle health. For people who want to maintain or rebuild strength and physical capacity after training, injury, surgery, or other periods of strain.

    Note

The results presented come from a four-week observational test phase under real training conditions. They show directional signals and do not constitute clinical proof of efficacy.
